What brought you to Bumbershoot Aerial Arts?
I was googling how to learn to do handstands and Bumbershoot came up. It looked very cool so I thought I would try it. I still can't do a handstand but that's okay.
What is your favorite apparatus to work on?
I'm really only familiar with silks and rope but I wouldn't want to pick a favorite between the two. They both have advantages.
What is your favorite thing about Bumbershoot?
The super supportive environment. The coaches and the fellow students really make you feel excited and empowered.
What kinds of things do you do when you aren’t hanging in the air?
Other hobbies include true crime podcasts, building Legos, and dragging my kids to local festivals that they have no interest in.
What is your favorite dessert?
Ice cream (shout out to Ice Cream Cakes on Cherokee)
When you are having a tough day in class, what do you tell yourself?
Something that seems simple now seemed impossible 2 months ago so just keep plugging.
What is your favorite trick? Least favorite?
My favorite is always the most recent one I've had success with and currently my least favorite might be toe climbs but I'm looking forward to getting better at those.
If you could run away to a desert island with one person from Bumbershoot who would it be?
Tough question but maybe Kris because she could grow the food, keep the bees, and maybe tame some wildlife so I could focus on making hats out of palm leaves.
Do you have a favorite memory from class or performing?
Not really a favorite memory but I do always go back to how great I feel physically and mentally after each class. It's a great reset button.
