What brought you to Bumbershoot Aerial Arts?
I was looking on Yelp for a new place to eat and thought Bumbershoot was a hip new Tai restaurant. I dropped in on Tom's aerial fitness class that day and have been hooked ever since.
What is your favorite apparatus to work on?
I don't have a favorite apparatus. I love them all, except those that spin easily. I hate spinning.
What is your favorite thing about Bumbershoot?
My favorite thing about Bumbershoot is that I feel I can truly be myself there no matter how excited/intense/silly I'm feeling that day. All walks of life are accepted at Bumbershoot.
What kinds of things do you do when you aren’t hanging in the air?
When I'm not at Bumbershoot you can find me practicing Bikram Yoga, rock climbing, camping/being outdoors, trying to be crafty and/or enjoying a beer with friends.
What is your favorite dessert?
Bread pudding.
When you are having a tough day in class, what do you tell yourself?
When I have a tough day I tell myself that its ok not to be perfect at everything all the time. Everyone has off days; we're all human. Then I remind myself of all of the fun and awesomeness that ensues when I am Bumbershoot and instantly feel better.
What is your favorite trick? Least favorite?
Favorite trick: Tick Tock
Least favorite trick: Anything that involves spinning
If you could run away to a desert island with one person from Bumbershoot who would it be?
Do you have a favorite memory from class or performing?
My first class in silks 2. I was very nervous and very excited before, during and after class. I couldn't believe that we were inverting from a climb and doing drops! My world was rocked in the best way possible. I had a hard time sleeping that night because of all of the excitement.
