Coty found Bumbershoot Aerial Arts in the summer of 2010, and has lived her life in the air ever since. Aerial arts have changed her life for the better, and Bumbershoot gave her the opportunity to share that joy with others. Aerial arts gives you a confidence like nothing else. It is the best workout you'll ever get, empowering you to do anything you put your mind (and body) to; like a superman drop from 20 feet in the air! She loves cheering on her students and watching them make progress, and plans to do so for many years to come. She draws her inspiration from the people she works with at Bumbershoot: I like to surround myself with people who keep me focused and going. The students help me strive to become a better teacher, and my co-teachers help me to become a better performer. They keep me working hard, inspiring me to become as talented and kind-hearted as them.

When she is not dancing in the air at Bumbershoot, you may spot Coty maintaining her healthy lifestyle by biking, practicing diablo (a specialized form of juggling),partner acro or stretching. Coty is a graduate of Northwest High School, Sanford-Brown College and also works at Little Fishes Swim School. She plans to continue learning and training and working and performing with aerialists across the country.
