In this class, students will begin low to the ground and work their way higher as they build strength, stamina, and familiarity with basic climbs, wraps, and body positions. Students can expect to learn leg lock AKA same side lock and figure 8 foot lock sequences as well as basic climbs and descents. Students should expect to repeat this 6 week class several times before they will be ready to take Silks 2. Coaches will keep continuing students challenged by giving them opportunity to work towards mastery of skills they already know as well as harder variations when appropriate. Come prepared to work hard, have fun, and enjoy the process!
Instructor permission Minimum of 12 weeks of Aerial Fitness or Silks intro, Straddle up Power, or private lessons Classic climb halfway up and inchworm down with good form Must be able to invert in a straddle from the ground with fabric apart AND fabric together. NO KNOT and without help. Perfect form is not necessary. 10-second bent-arm hang in hollow body.
